Fiona Cameron
Dr Fiona Cameron is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of History at the University of Sydney. She is currently the Chief Investigator on two ARC SPIRT Grants and two ARC Small grants. One of the aforementioned grants is to fund a three year Australian and international research project Exhibitions as Contested Sites - the Role of Museums in Contemporary Society with partners the Australian Museum and the Australian War Memorial to which this paper refers.
Previously, Fiona was a lecturer in Museum Studies at the University of Sydney and James Cook University. Over the last 18 years she has worked as a social history curator in a number of museums and as a consultant on exhibitions in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. Some of these exhibition projects involved the curation of difficult histories, contemporary debates and taboo topics.Papers in the omj:
