Heleanor Feltham

Heleanor Feltham (BA Hon. Dip. Ed.) is an education officer at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney, and has been involved in museum and adult education since the 1970s. She is a founding member of the Asian Arts Society of Australia and its journal, TAASA Review, which she edited for the first three years of its publication. In 1980 she curated an exhibition on the effects of East-West trade, In the Eastern manner, and in 1999 co-authored the catalogue Beyond the Silk Road: arts of Central Asia for the Powerhouse exhibition of the same name. She has been involved in developing public and educational programs for exhibitions at the Powerhouse since its opening, and is currently tutoring a course Along the Silk Road for Sydney University's Centre for Continuing Education. She has a special interest in the history and cultures of Central Asia, and has been writing and lecturing on topics relating to that subject for several years.
