Michelle Webb and Brian Shepherd
Michelle Webb
Michelle is a Pallawa woman from Southern Tasmania.
She has worked in various non-Government positions as a Support worker for women and children in crisis as well as being actively involved in the Indigenous Community.
She completed the Aboriginal Bridging Course at Curtin University in 1995 and completed a BA in Cultural Heritage Studies in 1999. She has since worked as a Journalist, at the Aboriginal Independent Newspaper, the Department of Indigenous Affairs, the Western Australian Museum, the Western Australian Maritime Museum and sessional work at the Centre for Aboriginal Studies at Curtin University.
Brian Shepherd
Dr Brian Shepherd is the Director of the Edith Cowan University Museum of Childhood. He has been the Director of the museum since 1985 and has been teaching the Museum Studies Certificate for seven years. He holds a Masters degree in Australian History and has both Australian and British qualifications in Museum Studies, the latter to PhD level. He has a long history of association with Museums Australia and is currently on the National Council as well as very involved in CAUMAC and the WA branch of Museums Australia.Papers in the omj:
