Carolyn Strange
Carolyn Strange is an historian who teaches at the Centre of Criminology, University of Toronto. She has published books and articles on the history of women, work, sexuality, deviance and moral regulation in Canadian history. She has also published on the history of capital and coporal punishment in Canada and Australia. This article is part of a larger collaborative project on the phenomenon of prison history tourism at Port Arthur, Alcatraz, and Robben Island.
